Who is Kyle V. Hiller?
Born and raised in West Philadelphia. Yeah, that one block that the city bombed back in the 80s? That's where I grew up.
I'm an author. I wrote The Recital. It's got witches and it's about intersectionality and queerness and it's set in the late-90s.
I'm a writer and journalist. I'm the Associate Editor of local arts and culture publication Broad Street Review. I've written for other outlets, including Paste Magazine, AJ+, Twinfinite, Skewed N' Reviewed, The Urban Twist, Philadelphia Metro, Rock On Philly, and more.
I'm the Co-founder of Angelella Editorial.
I spent one year at Hofstra University before coming back home to Temple University, graduating with a degree in Film and Media Arts, minoring in Creative Writing.
I spend my free time playing video games and curating mixtapes, I'll cut them to video and make a music film out of it. I think that makes me a DJ.
I'm pretty chill. I love my mom.
